The San Benito Fire Department is offering free smoke detectors to residents as part of an effort to keep the community safe.
San Benito residents who need assistance with installation may also qualify for help from the department.
“Protecting our families and community is our top priority,” said Fire Marshal Jorge Mata. “By ensuring homes have working smoke detectors, we can reduce the risk of tragedy and keep San Benito safe.”
Residents who live within city limits and would like to request a smoke detector or installation assistance are encouraged to contact Fire Marshal Jorge Mata at (956) 658-8494.
