[ARCHIVED] WEEKLY DROUGHT MONITOR

Drought 9-22-22

Nearly all of the Rio Grande Valley is out of the drought, except for a small portion of southwest Starr County.
Meanwhile, levels at Falcon and Amistad reservoirs have improved and are currently at a combined level of 31.25 percent of capacity.
With this rise, effective Saturday, Sept. 24, the City will move from Stage 2 Mandatory Water Conservation restrictions to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation.
Residents and businesses are still encouraged to do their part and conserve water as reservoir levels remains very low.
