The City of San Benito was represented at the Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame Ceremony hosted by City of Hidalgo BorderFest 2019. Inducted into the Walk of Fame from San Benito were Dr. Enriqueta Ramos and Victor Gonzalez. Shown are the inductees, City officials Mayor Benjamin Gomez, Commissioners Rene Villafranco, Tony Gonzalez and Ricardo Guerra, and their spouses. The award is based on community and public service.
