There's been no change since last week. The entire RGV is still drought free.
However, the combined level of Falcon and Amistad Reservoirs remains low and, in fact, actually fell slightly since last week from 30.9 percent of capacity to 30.4 percent.
This is why it is crucial that we continue to CONSERVE water. If the combined level falls below 25 percent as it did this past summer, mandatory water restrictions would be triggered once again.
